We were the first to run an autonomous shuttle in Luxembourg in 2018. Our autonomous shuttle was paused at the end of 2019 to reprogram a route that’s more convenient for everyone and to offer an even better service.
A real solution for the last 900 m
Some people still don’t dare to use it, others try it just to see. In any case, the shuttle runs in the morning and in the evening so our tenants can get to the train station in complete safety and comfort.
We adjusted the timetable so the shuttle waits for arriving trains and, conversely, drops passengers off in time for the next departures. It runs during “rush hours” from 7 AM to 9 AM in the morning and from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the evening.
“It’s not always full, but we knew that from the start,” says Marc Diver, CEO of Campus Contern. “We have plenty of parking here, so people don’t really need to take public transport, and we also have a lot of IT companies where the company car is part of the package. But it’s worth it, even for just a few people. If we do nothing at all, then we can’t hope for any change in habits.”
